1. 1. Our use of cookies

Welcome to the website of Lyft Sweden www.golyft.se (the “Website”), which is owned and operated by British American Tobacco Sweden AB, Box 30244, 104 25 Stockholm (referred to as “BAT”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

BAT aims to offer a website with relevant content for you. In order to do so, we use technology such as cookies, that collect information about how visitors use our Website.

In some cases we also use similar technology when you receive newsletters from us.

The purpose of this cookie policy is to be transparent about our use of cookies and our processing of your personal data, and to inform you what you should be aware of and what your options are. This cookie policy describes, among other things, the use of necessary cookies and other cookies, that you can choose to accept, when you visit the Website or choose to receive emails and newsletters from us, the purposes of our use of cookies and information about third party cookies.

  3. 2. Consent and processing of personal data

Certain cookies we use are strictly necessary for the Website to work, and therefore your consent is not needed, while other cookies will be set for other purposes, for example cookies might be set for marketing purposes as well as statistics purposes etc.

In order for us to set such other cookies that are not strictly necessary for the Website to work we need your consent. When you visit our Website for the first time, we present you with a cookie tool requesting your consent for non-necessary cookies.

By accepting BAT’s use of cookies (other than necessary cookies) you consent to BAT using cookies as described in this cookie policy and in the cookie overview in our cookie tool.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie overview in the cookie tool by clicking cookie settings in the bottom of this Website. You can also delete cookies in your browser as described in section 5.

BAT’s use of cookies can lead to processing of personal data, and we recommend that you also read our Privacy Notice, which describes our processing of your personal data and your rights. You can find our Privacy Notice here.

    3. What are cookies?

Cookies (or other similar technologies like pixels/beacons) are small data files, that we can place on your browser or the hardware of your computer or other device, and that may collect information about you, your device and your behavior, for example your use of our Website.

Other similar files work in the same way, and we use the word “cookies” in this policy to describe all kinds of files, that collect information in this way.

The word “cookies” in this policy and in your consent therefore also means other ways of automatic collection of data, for example Flash-cookies (Local Shared Objects), Web Storage (HTML5), Javascripts or other cookies set by use of another software. The word “cookies” also includes information about IP- and MAC address and other information about your device.

Cookies can be used and set by both BAT and third parties. Cookies set by BAT are called “first party” cookies, while cookies set by a third party are called “third party” cookies (for example placed on your device by another website when you use our Website).

There are two kinds of cookies, “session cookies”/”temporary cookies” and ”persistent cookies”/”permanent cookies”. The session cookies are linked to the current visit on our Website and will be automatically deleted when you close your web browser. The persistent cookies will be saved on your device, so that the Website for example remembers you the next time you visit the site. A persistent cookie will delete itself after a certain time period but will be renewed every time you visit the Website.

  5. 4. The purposes for which we use cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies set on your browser, because these cookies are necessary for the Website to function, for example cookies that remember your cookie preferences and cookies that make it possible for you to make your purchase.

These strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off in our systems, and they are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work.

We also use functionality cookies set on your browser, which enable the Website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.

We also use performance and analytics cookies set on your browser, which allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor its performance.

We may also use Social Media Cookies set on your browser. These cookies are set by a range of social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.

We may also use targeting cookies set on your browser. These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. These cookies are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

You can read more about cookies in the cookie overview and in the cookie tool where you can also find information about each cookie being set on the Website.

We may further use email tracking pixels in some cases when you receive newsletters from us through email. Some of the emails we send to you may contain a web beacon/pixel or tracked links which allows us to identify when you have opened or forwarded the email and to verify which links contained in the email you have accessed. We use this information to determine which parts of our emails are of most interest to you and the pixel is deleted when you delete the email.

You can choose not to download the pixel and avoid tracking by adjusting the settings in your email software or service, where the provider has made this feature available. You can also delete the pixel by deleting the email. Alternatively, you can always withdraw the consent you have given to marketing by contacting us at gdpr_emails@bat.com or you can unsubscribe from our mailing list by using the unsubscribe option in the email.

    5. How to control and delete cookies

If you do not want BAT to set or read cookies on your devices, you can at any time change your cookie preferences and delete cookies in your web browser, where you can choose which cookies to allow, block or delete. How to do this depends on the browser you use. Remember to delete cookies in all browsers if you use more than one browser.

You can also at any time change your cookie settings in the cookie tool available to you by clicking “cookie settings” in the bottom of the Website. In this tool you can choose which cookies you allow to be set and also remove the cookies you have previously accepted.

Please be aware that restricting cookies may mean that you will not be able to take full advantage of all the features or services available on this Website.

  7. 6. Third party privacy notices

In our cookie overview in the cookie tool (to be found under “cookie settings” in the bottom of the Website) you can find information on each cookie being set as well as information about whether the cookie is a first party cookie or a third party cookie.

Just like we recommend that you read BAT’s privacy notice we also recommend that you read the privacy notices of the third parties setting the third-party cookies on the Website, because setting cookies often lead to processing of personal data.

Therefore, you can find the privacy notices of the third parties here: Awaiting
